About Delectus

Delectus is Latin for “chosen”. The platform exists to make choosing simpler for both sides of a hire.

What it is

Delectus is a job board and CV placement service. It does three things and tries to do them well: host job posts, hold candidate CVs and profiles, and match the two. It is deliberately smaller and simpler than the large professional networks.

How matching works

Every job post lists the skills it needs, marked required or nice-to-have, plus the level, years of experience, location, type and salary band. Every candidate profile lists skills, level, experience, location and preferences. A score out of 100 is calculated from six parts:

The score is always shown with its breakdown, so nobody has to guess why a match is high or low. There is no hidden ranking.

How moderation works

Employers write posts, but nothing is published until a Delectus moderator has approved it. Moderators check for scams, discriminatory requirements, misleading descriptions and duplicates. Rejected posts go back to the employer with a reason, and can be fixed and resubmitted. Anyone can report a live post from the post itself; reports go straight to the moderation queue.

Your data

Candidates control whether their profile is discoverable by employers. Contact details and the CV file are only released to an employer when a candidate applies to one of that employer's jobs. See the privacy policy for the details.
